Overview

Mold can be one of the most toxic pollutants if it’s in your home, whether it’s alive and growing or dried up. Certain molds can product mycotoxins, which are the toxic byproducts from specific molds.

Symptoms Related to Mold

Respiratory Issues:

  • Mold spores can be inhaled, leading to respiratory symptoms such as coughing, sneezing, nasal congestion, throat irritation, and wheezing.
  • Individuals with pre-existing respiratory conditions, allergies, or asthma may experience more severe reactions.

Allergic Reactions:

  • Symptoms may include itching, red or watery eyes, skin rashes, and exacerbation of existing allergies.

Sinusitis and Nasal Congestion:

Infections:
