Common Symptoms

Overview

Did you know that people experience illness in 30% or more of new or existing homes from viruses, bacteria, mold, smoke particles, VOCs, formaldehyde, asbestos, dust, lead, and electronics fields.

If left unaddressed, they can mask symptoms, prolong diagnosis and slow down progress.

On average, we spend over 90% of our time inside our homes, meaning that we’re absorbing pollutants and toxins from a variety of sources including building and product materials, air, water, and our electronics.

Toxins in the home can lead to disease or make existing conditions worse

Like a rain barrel, our bodies reach their toxin limit resulting in an overflow effect of all sorts of triggers or symptoms that may not be obviously linked to sources in our homes, especially if the symptoms are fairly mild or common, and not dramatic or extreme. They might look something like this:

  • Mystery symptoms that appear or a diagnosis you are having trouble pinpointing
  • Acute symptoms where you feel noticeable worse in one area of your home but don’t know why
  • Triggers for things like stress, anxiety, physical pain, emotional outbursts that you may not notice until your environment is improved
  • Lack of improvement or progress if you’re managing chronic conditions which you might be writing off as part of a weakened immune system
  • Poor sleep quality or lack of energy which you’ve just assumed it’s stress even though you’ve been trying different things to make it better
