EMF Detox Tips

Spending more time outside of your usual environment over the holidays means you’re exposed to more EMFs at friends, family, and out and about places you don’t normally hang out, all crammed into a few short weeks. Tied with a big, pretty bow, of course.

So what’s this have to do with detoxing?

Well, EMF fields can trigger toxins getting dumped into your system. So if you’ve been around more EMFs than usual over the holidays or if you normally are and don’t have some detox go-tos, you need to read this.

Here are two examples how this happens:

  1. Our body’s communication system of sending and receiving signals has no idea how to understand, interpret or decode the signals from EMF sources like powerlines, Wi-Fi, cell phones, etc… This creates mass confusion. As our body is saying “what is this?” the blood brain barrier opens up for a split second because it’s confused and doesn’t know what these signals are and  lets toxins into the brain. The blood brain barrier’s main job is preventing toxins from coming into the brain.
  2. Because our body isn’t naturally wired to understand the EMF signals, our body thinks it’s being attacked. That means we go into lockdown mode or fight or flight triggering the stress response reaction. At the cellular level, the cell membranes harden to keep out any “intruders” which means energy and nutrients can’t get into the cell and it becomes energy and nutrient deficient. It also means that toxins can’t flush out of the cell, either. Now the cell is abnormal and if it’s in its’ first half of its life, it divides and creates two abnormal daughter cells. If it’s in its second half of its life, the cell membrane disintegrates away and the toxins are released out into your system.

When I first became sensitive to EMFs, I did what most people still do – living in reaction mode and tiptoeing around EMFs as my go-to coping mechanism.

First of all, I’ll just say it was a terrible way of living not to mention the mental and energetic drain. I’d feel crummy because I’d been triggered (while trying to figure out what kind of field had triggered me) and how to feel better faster rather than just waiting for the pain to go away.

Second, you can work with EMF triggers and sensitivities proactively and in a way that you’re not randomly throwing spaghetti at the wall and left with a wet mess of pasta to clean up.

Here’s what I’ve learned when it comes to detoxing from EMF triggers over the years with many “OMG this works!!!” and some of those “I could have just saved myself the effort, stayed at home in my PJs and waited this thing out” – so here they are:

  • Your body is always changing, and depending on how robust your immune system is, the severity and sensitivity of your symptoms, you’re going to react differently to triggers over time. If you’ve been building up your immune system and your field, your symptoms and triggers will be changing as well. The best situations are when you think you’re going to get triggered and you actually don’t, or the trigger turns out to be much smaller than you were expecting because these are signs your resistance is getting better.
  • If it’s a really bad trigger, sometimes you actually do have to wait it out in addition to whatever  you’re doing to detox.
  • As my body and my resistance changed, my detox methods continually evolved and I had to really tune in and listen to my body and how it was feeling. I also had to get better at listening to my intuition and what it was telling me, usually a knowing that what I was doing wasn’t as effective anymore, and then shortly after that something else would present itself as a detox solution which worked much more effectively, so I had to l had to learn to be fluid with whatever solutions I was doing.
  • I am a lazy detoxer! And to make things difficult, I want to be able to really experience it, not just take another supplement (nothing against supplements, I take them, but again, if I can experience the experience and it meets my checklist, sign me up!). And it also needs to be easy, something I actually enjoy doing, I don’t have to schedule weeks in advance, doesn’t cost me an arm and a leg, and be able to feel a noticeable difference right away. Kind of a tall order I know, but it can be done.

Now that I’m not really sensitive to EMFs anymore, I still detox regularly and instead of being something I do as a reaction or from a trigger, it’s preventive and keeps those triggers and symptoms away.

Here’s what I recommend if you’re detoxing specifically for EMFs:

  • Expect change. If you’re looking to reduce your triggers or reactions, your body, immune system and field is going to change which means the EMFs that trigger you will most likely change (types of fields), severity of symptoms and reactions, and recuperation time. The downstream effect is the detox methods and solutions and effectiveness will change, too. When I was super sensitive, I started out really slow, and when I started feeling like it wasn’t “sticking”, it wasn’t that it wasn’t working, but I’d built up my field and resistance and was ready to level up.
  • Know what your trigger symptoms are, if you have any. Think about choosing detox methods that help address specific symptoms or areas of pain when you’re triggered. For example, inner ear and lymph nodes were the most painful when my sensitivities were at their highest, and my main solution was lymphatic massage to dial down the pain in those areas, get the toxins out, and adjust the pressure depending on my pain levels.
  • Listen to your intuition. What are you intuitively drawn to? Or completely repelled by? If your intuition or your gut is telling you to stop into that acupuncture studio you always pass by, listen to that. Your inner knowing is always right.
  • Know what kind of detoxer you are, embrace it and go find those solutions. It’ll make it easier when choosing from all of the options out there, and you’ll stick with it.

My go-tos right now are salt baths and cryotherapy. I loooooove them both! Cryo, not so much on some days, but it’s become a staple in my detox toolbox because it seems to get out toxins that are deep in my system. Salt baths are quick, easy, and I can do anytime (no scheduling there) that clears out the positively charged ions on me from everyday home office EMFs I pick up throughout the day and energetically clears my field.

Do you do any EMF detoxing and if so, what are they? If not, what are you drawn to? Hit that Reply button and tell me, I love hearing from you!

Much love,

P.S. If you were in my Facebook group, just a heads up it’s gone. Gulp. Yep, like, totally gone. Intuitively, I’ve felt since last spring everyone is very social media’d out as we’re all navigating new territory and the alignment isn’t quite there anymore. So for now, feel free to connect with me on Facebook directly or hit the Reply button – I love hearing from all of you!

P.S. Did you know that I wrote a DIY EMF book called “What The EMF? It’s the book that I wish I had when I first started learning about EMFs. It’s easy to understand with lots of solutions and you can binge read it in a day like a few of my readers. I’m real proud of it and you can click here to order it.
